Isha Contway

My name is Isha Contway and I have been working as a school psychologist for the Yellowstone-West/Carbon County Coop since 2008. I received my training at the Northern Arizona University where I received my master’s degree in School Psychology. Prior to becoming a school psych, I worked as a fifth grade teacher for two years after receiving my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from New Mexico State University. Although teaching was something I enjoyed, I began exploring other fields of education that offered more in-depth focus on students’ needs. After working closely with the school psychologist where I taught, I saw this as a profession I wanted to pursue and one that closely aligned with my interests. As a school psychologist, I enjoy the process of gathering comprehensive information on each student I work with, determining the potential influences of difficulties they may be experiencing, examining individual needs, and formulating a plan to help them be more successful.
